Born in Toowoomba, Queensland and from the early age of 6 years Jenna began to dance Ballroom, then at the age of 17, her former dance instructor was teaching Colombian Salsa and asked Jenna to come along to a class. With no formal training in this popular style of Street Latin dance, she was still quick to pick up the moves and in no time was teaching the class.
Jenna’s Salsa continued to advance by dancing socially on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane which included her picking up more popular Street Latin dance styles including On1/LA & On2/NY Salsa, Bachata, Street Cha Cha & Zouk. Jenna however wanted to focus on a Street Latin dance that suited her style along with technical background so chose On2/NY Salsa.
Jenna has now been dancing professional Salsa since mid 2008 teaming up with Roberto Paul and together winning the Queensland State Salsa Titles Professional On2 Division in 2008, 2009 and 2010. From the State Titles she has then gone on to place 3rd in the Australian Salsa Classic Professional On2 Division in 2008 & 1st in the Australian Salsa Classic Professional On2 Division for 2010. Her partnership with Roberto Paul has also given her the opportunity in teaching beginner through to advanced students in the foundations of On2/NY Salsa in Brisbane.
Jenna has worked with some amazing National & International artists such as back-up dancer for singer Tiffany Wood at her Gold Coast appearance in 2005, Latin Dance Artists such as Claudio Gomes at the Brisbane Brazilian and Brisbane Latin Dance Congress in 2008 and Mafie Zouker on his Australian Tour in 2009. Continuing and touring Prague, Russia and Sweden in 2011 with Zouk Master Carlos Da Silva performing and teaching Zouk and Ladies Salsa Styling.
